Dorothy Simonsson, MD

Dr. Simonsson was born in Dayton, OH but was raised in various locations across the US being the daughter of an Air Force officer.  She has spent most of her life (so far) in different cities in Virginia, graduating undergrad at Virginia Commonwealth University (in Richmond) and then pursuing her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School (in Norfolk).  She graduated her pediatric residency from MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.

During this time is when she met her now husband.  They made their move to Baltimore in 2016, and have since been blessed with two healthy, active children (a boy and a girl). 

She enjoys spending time with her family, attending church activities and traveling abroad. If there is ever any “free” time, she also enjoys reading and watching a good movie.  In her career, she loves to care for children through their infant to adolescent years. She especially enjoys helping new parents as they navigate their transformed lives after having a newborn.
