Teresa Mark MD
Pediatrician in Towson, MD
Dr. Teresa Mark was born outside Chicago, Illinois the second youngest in a family of ten children. She moved to South Carolina after her father retired from the military when she was 4 years old. From a young age she had an interest in service to both family and community and spent her time outside of school babysitting her nieces and nephews, tutoring and teaching Sunday school. An early love of science coupled with this desire to serve drew her towards medicine as a career. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina Honors College where she majored in biological sciences. Her summers in college were spent doing research that focused on pain physiology across development. She completed her medical education at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and stayed there for her post-graduate pediatric training. She joined Main Street Pediatrics after completing her residency training and has made Maryland her home. She is married and has a young son and daughter as well as two cats. When she is not busy doctoring or mothering she enjoys visiting with family, trying new recipes, attempting to be crafty and gardening. She considers it a great privilege to work with children and their parents throughout the entire spectrum of development from newborns to college age. She believes in evidence based medicine that takes the individual needs of the family and child into consideration. She works at the Towson office.
